Lindsey Graham Hoping for 'Complete Meltdown' from Sotomayor

Lindsey Graham assures Sonia Sotomayor that if any Republicans vote against her it's not because they're racist. They just don't like her. But unless she has a "complete meltdown" Graham thinks she's in.

This is how comments are distorted! Graham "hoping" for a complete meltdown. He didn't SAY that, nor did he come off SOUNDING that way... and shame on you for relaying it that way. After what our representatives did to Roberts, Thomas and Bork, nobody should be able to say ANYTHING about Sotomayor being treated badly.

Why can't you liberal media let the sound clip do the talking and refrain from mischaracterize what Republicans "mean" by a no vote. Where in Graham's comments did he say they "just don't like her"? I thought he gave some pretty specific concerns that had absolutely nothing to do with personally liking or disliking Sotomayor.

Because libs don't believe anyone can "think" for themselves...or, at least, think like THEY think so they do our thinking for us. Just like the dem senators spent the whole morning praising Sotomayor instead of asking her ANY questions. Geesh, you'd think she was a saint because she had a 'hard' life. Hey, my dad died when I was five... I guess that makes me a saint, too. WOW! Who knew!

I was watching the clip when the utter bias and stupidity of some of the previous commenters caught my attention. On second thought, conservatives are a lost cause, so why should I even try rhetoric to persuade them with regards to their faulty argumentation. Even when your last conservative president messed up our economy, sent us into a corporate war, and greatly tarnished our reputation around the world, you keep on espousing your halfwit Republican values and dogmas. FYI, I myself am not a liberal, I'm further to the left. Democrats and Republicans have few real differences and, unfortunately, too much in common.

Its complete BS to say that Graham was hoping for a complete meltdown. He was candidly saying that unless she had a meldown she would likely make it in.

I would say that I'm a liberal, and I have been EXTREMELY impressed by Graham during the confirmation. He has quite simply said things as they are. Admitting that he may disagree with her on some things, but saying that he likes her and sticking to questions that are relevant regarding what a justice should be doing.
Sure, he did the main talking points that Republics have regarding her speeches but he didn't harp constantly on them like many others. He's been the most reasoned of ANY of the senators during the confirmation that I saw.
