Tom Ridge Admits Something We Were Only Supposed to Assume
We knew those terror threat levels were bullshit, but now we really know.

This news that members of the Bush Admin. urged Tom Ridge to raise the threat levels for possible political reasons is not surprising by no means. This is the sort of nonsense that got us into the quagmire we're in, in Iraq today, where we have lost so many of our good men and women. The Bush team seemed to use a great deal of theatrics to get where they wanted to go with the American people, and most of the time it worked. I believe this is why Mel Martinez decided to leave right after casting his vote for Justice Sotomayor. He did not like playing by their (lie for show) rules ! And I never will forget GW Bush standing in front of that large aircraft carrier with the sign: "Mission Accomplished," when Iraq's most deadliest tactics had not yet even begun.
