Former Pres. Carter is absolutely correct in his assessment. No, white people do not see racism from the same perspective as a black person, even Steele, but racism exists in varying degrees amongst and against all kinds of ethnic groups. I am certain we can usually identify it clearly within our own race at whatever level it may exist but especially when it is so frantic and desparate. It is ludicrous to deny this doesn't play a pivotal role in why some otherwise law abiding citizens are acting like total lunatics allowing themselves to be whipped into a frenzy because of their racism(fear) and thus, are willing to believe some of the most asinine false propaganda. I have witnessed this within my own family who honestly believe Obama is the anti-Christ and that his health care plan would really pull the plug on granny! If this were a white man whom they opposed they would have other though no less deragatory labels for him and the hatred would be no less vehement, just motivated by other things like the plain old party line.
