Michael Steele Apologizes to Rush

What is it with Republicans? Rush Limbaugh can say the most fucked up shit about them and they still end up apologizing to him. From Politico:

“My intent was not to go after Rush – I have enormous respect for Rush Limbaugh,” Steele said in a telephone interview. “I was maybe a little bit inarticulate. … There was no attempt on my part to diminish his voice or his leadership.”

Rush Responds to Michael Steele

I think I'm enjoying this as much as Rick Sanchez. These two are just going to go at each other until there's really nothing left of the Republican party. Keep it going boys.

Stimulus = Slavery

Here's a good one from ThinkProgress:

Virginia state delegate Robert Marshall (R): "That is as much a chain of slavery around our children. … It is as much a chain as ankle bracelets were as to African-Americans in the 1860s in this state. It’s just invisible. But it is a chain of death that we’re not going to escape."

The View Takes on Rush Limbaugh

Elizabeth Hasselbeck: "Do you think there's something wrong with what he said?"

Vanity Fair: Comedy's New Legends

Go here now and watch the slideshow of the Apatow era comedians recreating classic moments in comedy films. This is the real deal.

Kanye West on Storytellers: Flashing Lights

One highlight from Kanye's Storytellers. Instead of telling stories between songs, which is the usual format, Kanye chooses to ramble awkwardly about nothing over the music. Go to about the 4:50 mark to be enlightened. "That's a story for your ass." [Stereogum]

The Ad Council's Funny New Reckless Driving Ads

More comedy, but this time with an important message. The Ad Council has a new series of YouTube videos targeted at teenagers about the dangers of reckless driving. This one with Fred Willard is my favorite, and you can see the rest of them at Videogum. "Rad!"

Michelle Bachmann: "You Be Da Man"

This is kind of old news by now, but I just found the video and it's too good not to post.

Monday Morning Shows on Rush the Leader

The only one who may be able to challenge Rush as the leader of the GOP is Jonathan Krohn. "It's really not a question of if he gets his ass kicked at school, it's how badly he gets his ass kicked."

Michael Steele Discusses Rush on D.L. Hughley

Michael Steele says he's the "de facto leader" of the GOP, not Rush. For the record, both of these men should be considered "entertainers."

Rahm Compliments Rush for His Honesty

Rahm Emanuel thanks Rush Limbaugh on Face the Nation for making the Republican party into such a big joke.

Bat Fight with Will Ferrell and Craig Robinson

Apparently snow days are hilarious, so I'm only posting comedy today. Here's a ridiculous music video shot on the set of "East Bound & Down."

Meshugene Men

Another hilarious spoof video to promote 92Y Tribeca, with a special appearance by Amy Sedaris as Netty Draperberg. "Dan, we need to talk about your future here at Sterling Kugel."

'The Office' Musical

No, nobody is adapting "The Office" for Broadway, but this obsessive fan video should aid the Scranton withdrawal of no new episodes for two weeks. And, I could watch Ed Helms sign a cappella all day.
