Olbermann examines Obama's "stonewalling" of the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." In the words of Dan Savage:
Al Franken, who has somehow managed to keep his sense of humor through his grueling fight for his Senate seat, spoke to supporters today after Norm Coleman's concession.
Some members of the city council weren't buying the Michael Jackson moment of silence. Councilman Lew Fidler said:
"I’m the chairman of the Youth Services Committee in the Council and the man was probably a serial pedophile, may have well died of a drug overdose... What exactly is it that we’re exalting?”
Fox News is promoting a second round of Tea Parties for this July 4th weekend. Because what better time to protest against your own government than on the most patriotic day of the year?

The Minnesota Supreme Court has unanimously named Al Franken the winner of his Senate election against Norm "Sore Loser" Coleman. But does this mean that Franken gets to be a senator now?

Tweeting that random celebrities have died is the new inserting secret backwards messages into rock albums. Jeff Goldblum appeared on the Colbert Report (he's a regular now) to refute the Twitter and New Zealand TV reports that he fell off of a cliff.

In this week's New Yorker, Kelefa Sanneh eulogizes Michael Jackson by writing about the man who inspired (or wrote, depending on how you look at it) the “Ma ma se, ma ma sa, ma ma coo sa” refrain from "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'."
