Daily Show on Palin's Resignation
Jon Stewart was understandably upset that Palin decided to quit 12 hours after he started his vacation. It was a tough week for the show to be on hiatus, but they came back strong, with this Samantha Bee exclusive on Palin's decision to quit being a mother to her children.

Stephen Colbert's Email to Mark Sanford
Among the emails to and from Mark Sanford's office obtained by South Carolina's The State, was this in character email from Stephen Colbert offering the disgraced governor a "friendly place to make light ofwhat I think is a small story that got blown out ofscale." (typos are Colbert's) It's too bad this never happened, but I can only admire Stephen's dedication.

Sotomayor Responds to the Whole 'Wise Latina' Thing
It happened early on the first day of questioning. Sonia Sotomayor had to defend herself against accusations of "reverse racism."
"I want to state upfront, unequivocally and without doubt: I do not believe that any racial, ethnic or gender group has an advantage in sound judging. I do believe that every person has an equal opportunity to be a good and wise judge, regardless of their background or life experiences."
